Paneer, also called cottage cheese, is immensely beneficial for your health. Paneer helps in boosting bone health, supports weight loss, builds a strong immune system, etc. Tikka on the other hand is basically large chomps of healthy vegetables marinated in yogurt and Tikka Masala. Often any paneer tikka recipe consists of a variety of tasty and beneficial vegetables like Mushroom, tomatoes, onion, capsicum, broccoli, cauliflower, and any vegetable of your choice.

Easy paneer tikka recipe Method:

  • Cut capsicum and paneer into one-inch cubes.
  • Wash and clean mushrooms.
  • Marinate all the vegetable and cottage cheese pieces with Ferns’ ginger and garlic paste, Ferns’ Tikka Paste, curd and salt for 2 hours. (Till then you can get other important work ready or just chill)
  • Skewer vegetables and cottage cheese alternately and roast on a grill or in a hot ‘tandoor’. (This step is crucial. Make sure you grill the material patiently without burning it).
  • Serve hot with sliced onion and lemon slices.
  • Serve with the Indian bread of your choice.


Paneer tikka is the perfect starter to serve with some soothing drinks. You can have it as a main course as well. Also, it is recommended to have a paneer tikka recipe with green mint chutney.

Simply take a cup of mint leaves (without stalks), half a bowl of coriander leaves, a few chillies, 1 teaspoon of Ferns’ ginger and garlic paste, 3 large tablespoons of thick yogurt, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, salt & sugar as per taste. Grind everything well. Your Green Mint Chutney is ready!

How to make paneer at home?

  • Take ½ or 1 liter of milk in a vessel, and bring it to a boil.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice to the boiling milk.
  • Stir the milk well and you will notice that the milk begins to curdle and solids separate from the whey.
  • Once the milk gets curdled completely, turn off the stove and let it cool for a while. Later, strain the milk whey out with a cotton cloth and you will be left with curdled milk.
  • After draining the whey, pour some water & let the water also drain away with the smell of lemon/vinegar.
  • Squeeze the cloth tightly and make a knot and hang it for 30-45 minutes. Once every drop is drained completely, keep the knotted cloth in a netted vessel, put something heavy on it, and let the paneer set for 3-4 hours straight.
  • Finally, remove the cloth and your paneer is ready.
